DAY 0: ADVENTURE BEGINS IN BEAUTIFUL CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA!

Upon your arrival in Cape Town, we will meet you at the airport and shuttle you to your first stay of the journey. After settling in, you will have a chance to meet your fellow BrushBuck travelers as we host a relaxing meet and greet dinner.

DAY 1: TABLE MOUNTAIN TO CAPE POINT

We depart for one of the NEW 7 Natural Wonders of the World – Table Mountain. This scenic trip up the cable offers breathtaking views and fantastic photography opportunities. After we take in all Table Mountain has to offer, we will then head for The Cape of Good Hope, known to locals as Cape Point. We will stop to view penguins along the way and enjoy the scenic vistas of the western South African coast.

DAY 2: A FREE DAY TO ENJOY CAPE TOWN

On our third day, you will have a free day to explore Cape Town, tour the historical South African wineries, a hike up Platteklip Gorge on Table Mountain, or shop the day away at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront! We will gather for a final Cape Town farewell dinner later in the evening.

DAY 3: GOODBYE CAPE TOWN, HELLO BIG 5!

After breakfast we will head to the airport and bid farewell to beautiful Cape Town. There will be a short in-country flight to the Hoedspruit Airport followed by a transfer to Sabie Sands Game Reserve. Upon arrival we will enjoy the afternoon & prepare for our evening game drives or night drive (guests choice). Animals often seen are: lion, elephant, rhino, cape buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, impala, hippopotamus, hyena, baboons, vervet monkeys, waterbuck, giraffe, along with many species of birds. Night drives often reveal several species not seen in the day such as bush baby, civets, eagle owls, African wild cats, lion, leopard, hyena, and more.

DAY 4: SABIE SANDS WILDLIFE AND LUXURY

The day will begin early as this is our best chance at wildlife. We will head out on a morning game drive to see the animals in the most active part of the day. After the morning drive, our guests will have the choice of doing a game walk led by rangers to experience the African bush by foot. In the middle of the day, we will relax in the beauty of the bush lodge until time for our afternoon game drives.

DAY 5: SABIE SANDS WILDLIFE AND LUXURY

An early morning game drive will start the day. Sabi Sands is one of the best places in the world for leopard sightings! Other wildlife sightings can include elephant, rhinoceros, impala, Cape Buffalo, lion and more! In the middle of the day, guests will have the chance to enjoy the luxurious amenities of the lodge followed by another evening’s game drive and sundowners.

DAY 6: SABIE SANDS TO WHITE RIVER

Departing early, we will travel through Kruger National Park on our way to White River. Kruger National Park is a world renowned wildlife destination where we can experience many more wildlife encounters. Upon arrival in White River, we will settle in to our accommodation at the Guest House and enjoy a traditional Boma Dinner!

DAY 7: CATCH A FLIGHT TO BEAUTIFUL VICTORIA FALLS

Wake up to a beautiful South African breakfast at the Stille Woning Guest Lodge before we fly out to Livingstone, Zambia. After clearing customs, we will be transferred to our lodge for the next 3 nights at the World’s Wonder of Victoria Falls!

DAY 8: A DAY OF VICTORIA FALLS

Victoria Falls is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site! We spend the day listening, enjoying and photographing as our local guide takes us through telling the stories of discovery, local tales and geology of the surrounding area. We will see the Zimbabwe & Zambia side of the falls as we tour at leisure to take it all in!

Ask your travel doctor for malaria pills that will work best for you and your travel companion. We use Malarone, but that may not work for everyone.
Your International Certificate of Vaccination will be needed on this trip.
You will need a Yellow Fever vaccination to enter and exit Zambia.
Your passport will be needed for travel throughout this tour.
Your passport must have at least 6 months left before expiration and also must have at least 3 blank pages.
Visa for Zimbabwe and Zambia will be purchased upon arrival.
A traveler’s wallet is suggested with two (2) credit cards and at least one ATM card. Tell your bank where you are going otherwise they will shut your cards off for fraud protection. It is advisable to keep $1000 USD in small bills ($20’s, $10’s, and $5’s) on hand throughout the vacation along with local currency.
Weather is mildly cold (60 degrees Fahrenheit) to very hot (100+ Fahrenheit). We suggest packing thin long sleeve shirts, thin pants or zip off pants as these prevent sunburns and bug bites. Laundry service is available and saves a lot of packing.
Currency in South Africa is the South African Rand which can be withdrawn at the ATM or bank upon arrival. Call your bank to let them know you are traveling!
Zimbabwe and Zambia both trade in $USD at the ports of entry and in country.
Trip insurance is required on all Africa tours.

Amazing We had Rachel as a guide and couldn’t say enough great things about this tour. We had an amazingly successful day! It was a little cool and rainy but it brought the animals out. We saw Moose, Big Horn Sheep, Proghorn, Elk and Mule Deer. The guide had a scope to see the animals as well as capture video which was super awesome.

Fantastic Experience! Our tour guide Sully was amazing!! He was very adept at spotting wildlife but also super-knowledgeable about the park and its history. He not only shared information on the wildlife, but also on the plant life. We got to see Miracle the grizzly bear from a safe distance and could see so well with Sully’s scope. We also saw a great blue heron rookery with the scope. It was a fantastic experience and we learned so much. I would highly recommend!

Exceeded all expectations was honestly skeptical going in. I wasn't sure if this would feel too touristy for our group or if we'd see enough wildlife this time of year to make it worthwhile. I couldn't have been more wrong.This was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Allie, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much information about the animals, landscape, and ecosystem throughout the tour. What impressed me most was how many animals we saw that we never would have spotted on our own. Her trained eye, combined with the scope, allowed us to observe wildlife from a distance while still getting an amazing view.The experience exceeded all of my expectations. We saw a variety of wildlife, learned a ton, and came away with a much deeper appreciation for the area. If you're on the fence about booking, do it. It was absolutely worth it.

Excellent guides! Incredible animal sightings. Beautiful vistas. My Son and I were guided by Mark along with two guides in training… Sully and Grant. The level of knowledge and hustle by all 3 was remarkable. Bison, Bears and Badgers, …Oh MY Brush Buck was recommended to us last year during a separate Canada excursion. We looked it up and decided this four day adventure was something we would enjoy. Without a doubt Brush Buck did not disappoint. Our guide, Diego, was a delight. He made sure everyone was comfortable and well hydrated even making a stop to secure a couple of requested dr peppers for the group! We were all amazed at his eagle eye in spotting the wildlife while driving and enlightening us with his knowledge of the area. The accommodation’s were comfortable and the lunch stop at the K bar Z was an added bonus!
