Itinerary
DAY 1: WELCOME TO ALASKA
Welcome to Alaska!! Your BrushBuck Guide will pick you up in the lobby of your local Anchorage hotel. We will host a welcome breakfast where you will get to know your Brushbuck guide and tour group. Your guide will review trip details and answer any questions! After breakfast, you will head to the Alyeska Resort where we will take the tram to the top of Mt. Alyeska! From 2300 ft, you will have stunning views of the Turnagain Arm, hanging glaciers and endless peaks in the Chugach Mountains.
From there, you will head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you will see brown bears, Grey wolves, caribou, elk, wood bison, black bear, and more! After lunch, you will depart for Seward, on the shores of Resurrection Bay. Your guide will interpret the history and landscape while stopping along the way at scenic turnouts. Once you are checked in at your hotel, you will have the chance to visit the Alaska Sea Life Center, Alaska’s premier public aquarium and Alaska’s only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation facility.

DAY 2: ACTIVITY DAY IN SEWARD
Day 2 includes the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery at Kenai Fjords National Park which boasts abundant wildlife as well as alpine and tidewater glaciers. Orcas, humpback whales, harbor seals, sea otters, Steller sea lions, Dall’s porpoise, black bears, bald eagle, mountain goats, puffins, along with countless other species of marine birds can all be seen within this picturesque national park.
You will have a choice of the following activities on your free day in Seward:
- Kenai Fjords National Park boat cruise with lunch
- Sea kayaking and boat ride
- Ocean Fishing Trip (Halibut, Salmon and Rockfish)

Kenai Fjords Ocean Tour
DAY 3: SEWARD TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Pack up and say goodbye to the ocean and hello to the Alaska interior! After breakfast, you will head to the Bear Creek Fish Weir (seasonally dependent) to potentially see salmon running in the creek up close! Then you will head down the road, stopping in the Chugach National Forest for a short hike to the Byron Glacier!
All along the route, your guide will stop at scenic overlooks for pictures such as the Hurricane Bridge overlook and the Denali South ViewPoint for bathroom breaks and pictures before arriving in the small town of Healy to settle in for tomorrow’s activities!

DAY 4: DENALI ACTIVITY DAY AND PARK TOUR
Whether you like flying over impressive glaciers, whitewater rafting on the Nenana River, off-road ATV driving or hiking in one of North America’s most beautiful wilderness areas, you will have your choice of adventures! You will choose one of the following activities for a morning adventure. After lunch, your BrushBuck guide will take you into Denali National Park on a park shuttle bus to look for wildlife and depending on weather, a chance to see Denali at its closest!

- Helicopter tour with glacier landing
- Airplane sightseeing tour

Denali National Park and Preserve
DAY 5: A DENALI NATIONAL PARK TO ANCHORAGE
Today, we will visit the historical dog mushing team of Denali National Park! These dogs are the only sled dog team in the National Park Service and are still used for supplying the backcountry of the park in the winter. After the sled dog presentation we depart for Anchorage. We will stop in the tiny hamlet of Talkeetna- a perfect picture of small-town life in Alaska! You will be able to enjoy its artistic and creative culture. Our guests can enjoy a leisurely lunch and stroll down main street! Guests who would like to ride the train to Anchorage may do so from Denali or Talkeetna.
