4 Day / 3 Night Yellowstone Winter Wolf Tour

Experience the wolves of Yellowstone on this 4 Day, 3 night tour with the expert guides at BrushBuck Wildlife Tours!

Multi Day Tour: 4 Day / 3 Night

Public Group Tour

From the time Yellowstone National Park was first established in 1872 til the mid 1920’s the gray wolf populations in Yellowstone were killed off due to government predator control programs. The ecological impacts that resulted from the absence of these predators caused profound changes to the ecosystem in Yellowstone – which was primarily caused by overgrazing from the increased Elk population.

It wasn’t until the 1940’s that park managers, conservationists, biologists and environmentalists began a campaign to reintroduce the gray wolf into Yellowstone National Park. When the Endangered Species Act of 1973 was passed this paved the way to reintroduce the gray wolf into Yellowstone. In 1995, the first gray wolves were reintroduced. Since then the population has grown to more than 100, and wolf watching has become a popular activity for tourists.

The expert guides at BrushBuck Wildlife Tours would like to invite you on this 4 Day, 3 Night Yellowstone Winter Wolf tour where you will have the chance of a lifetime to witness these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. Our insider knowledge and connections to the National Park Service gives us the upper hand in tracking down the various wolf packs throughout Yellowstone.

  • Booked a Winter Wolf and Wildlife 4 day adventure, and saw wolves every day of the tour, in Teton and also in Yellowstone (4 different packs). We are both very physically active and the guides adapted the tour for us, for example, snowshoeing at a good pace, and also walking/hiking through the snow to get a better viewpoint to see the wildlife in the area. The knowledge and the information shared by the guides was awesome. During the tour, we stayed in very nice hotels/cottages, and got to eat in amazing restaurants, where we had a chance to sample some of the animals we had seen throughout the day (Elk steak is delicious, bison is great too). One of the highlights of the trip was seeing three wolves howling to each other, and then a few hours later seeing a bald eagle and golden eagle battling over an elk carcass. The snow coach trip from the south entrance of Yellowstone to Old Faithful Snow Lodge is a ride you will not soon forget. (Moose Falls in a winter wonderland). Thanks again to our guides, Adam and Ezra, for an unforgettable Christmas vacation.
